1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing primetread.ca or booking any service with Prime Tread Auto Care Inc. ("Prime Tread", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
2. Services
Prime Tread provides the following services in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario:
- Tire sales and installation (in-shop)
- Mobile tire change (we drive to your location)
- Seasonal tire swap (winter / summer / all-season changeover)
- Tire rotation and flat repair
- Seasonal tire storage
- Free tire inspections
Service availability may vary by location and season. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any service at any time.
3. Booking Appointments
When you book an appointment through our website:
- Your booking is a request. It is confirmed only when you receive a confirmation call or message from us.
- No payment is required at the time of booking unless you are purchasing tires.
- We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel appointments due to technician availability, weather, or other circumstances. We will notify you as soon as possible if this occurs.
- Please provide accurate vehicle and address information. Incorrect information may result in delays or an inability to complete the service.
4. Mobile Tire Change Service
For mobile appointments where our technician drives to your location:
- You must provide a safe, accessible location for our technician to work (level ground, accessible jack points).
- Your vehicle must be present at the provided address at the agreed time.
- We are not responsible for delays caused by inaccessible locations, locked gates, or incorrect addresses.
- Our technician may refuse to perform the service if the working conditions are deemed unsafe.
- A cancellation fee may apply if you cancel less than 2 hours before a confirmed mobile appointment.
5. Pricing and Payment
- All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and subject to Ontario HST (13%).
- Prices displayed on our website are estimates based on supplier cost and markup. Final pricing is confirmed at the time of service.
- We accept major credit cards and debit cards. Payment is processed securely through Stripe.
- The $5 trade-in credit per tire is applied to your account and may be used toward future purchases. It has no cash value and is non-transferable.
6. Tire Storage
- Seasonal storage is $99 per vehicle set per year, payable in advance.
- Storage periods are 12 months from drop-off date.
- We take reasonable care of stored tires but are not liable for damage caused by normal tire aging, pre-existing conditions, or force majeure events.
- Unclaimed tires after 30 days past the expiry date may be disposed of after reasonable notice attempts.
7. Warranties and Liability
Tire products carry the manufacturer's warranty. We will assist you in submitting warranty claims but do not independently warrant tire products beyond what the manufacturer provides.
Our workmanship (installation, balancing, torque) is warranted for 30 days from the service date. If you experience issues attributable to our work within this period, contact us and we will correct the issue at no charge.
To the maximum extent permitted by Ontario law, Prime Tread's total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
8. Cancellations and Refunds
- Appointment cancellations made more than 2 hours before the scheduled time: no charge.
- Mobile appointment cancellations with less than 2 hours notice: a $25 cancellation fee may apply.
- Tire purchase refunds are accepted within 14 days of purchase, provided the tires are unmounted and in original condition.
- Installed tires are non-refundable unless there is a confirmed defect.
9. Customer Responsibilities
- You are responsible for ensuring your vehicle's TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) is reset after a tire change, or for informing us if you need assistance with this.
- We recommend a torque re-check after 50–100 km of driving following any tire installation. This can be done at our shop at no charge within 14 days.
- You are responsible for providing accurate information about your vehicle and tires.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on primetread.ca — including text, images, logos, and design — is the property of Prime Tread Auto Care Inc. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without prior written permission.
11. Disclaimer
Our website and services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, except as required by Ontario consumer protection law. We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service at any time. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our website or services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
